Apartments for Rent: Chicago Renter’s Info.

There are plenty of apartments for rent- Chicago and its surrounding areas. You can contact a real estate agent to help you find the perfect apartments for rent. Chicago real estate agents will work hard to browse through available rents that meet your criteria.
If you prefer to keep your search private and not use a real estate agent, then you can find many sites online that help people find the perfect apartment in Chicago to rent. There are many different amenities to choose from that have very different impact on the prices.
The first thing to think about is whether or not you are going to keep a car on hand while in the city. Parking can be very expensive – around $300 a month or more, depending on location. If you prefer to save that money by giving up the car, you will find a lot of public transportation that you can rely on to get you all around the city.
The CTA bus system is comprehensive and serves almost every area of Chicago, so that you are never too far away from the heart of downtown city life. The subway or “L”, for elevated train, is also a great option that can take you where the CTA can’t, or where the CTA takes too long.
If you are looking for the finest of all apartments and luxury spending, then you should see what is available in the Gold Coast. Historically, the Gold Coast is the place for Chicago’s most rich and elite social society to reside. Of course, any apartment along the fabulous street of Michigan Avenue can also offer you amazing views, fabulous shopping and expensive rent!
If you are on more of a budget, take a look at South Loop or West Loop locations. The prices are much more reasonable, many around $800 a month, but the amenities drop greatly as well. You can find great areas around otherwise more quiet neighborhoods.
Although the South Loop and the West Loop areas don’t feature many posh stores or high-end restaurants or club, both areas are quickly becoming known as the next up and coming areas of living. A lot of new construction is planned for the years ahead and developers are finding many incentives to turn these areas into the next in-demand living quarters.
